Concurrent Enrollment
Concurrent Enrollment at Seminole State College allows a unique and affordable opportunity for high school Juniors and Seniors to earn college credit before they graduate. At SSC we value education and believe students at all levels can begin working towards their goals.
Why choose Seminole State College? Seminole State College works closely with area high schools to provide concurrent students with resources and materials for success. As a valued student on campus concurrent students will not only learn and grow, but they also become an integral part of the SSC community. We believe concurrent enrollment allows high school students to prepare for future goals while earning dual credit.
(Concurrent Students are responsible for fees, cost of books, and tuition amounts over the allocated waived hours.)

Additional Information
For continued enrollment at SSC as a high school student, a minimum of 2.0 college GPA must be maintained. Courses taken at the college will also be transcribed on
the high school transcript as part of the dual enrollment agreement. Students are expected to be aware of all academic policies, including drop and withdraw deadlines. While attending Seminole State College academic information may only be shared with the student’s high school and the student unless a FERPA has been completed.
Every student should be mindful that collegiate level classes are being taken, and grades received as a high school concurrent student are part of the calculation to determine your future financial aid status and eligibility. If a student receives a failing grade or withdraws from classes, he or she potentially becomes ineligible for financial aid when starting college as a freshman. Should students have struggles arise while enrolled in classes, they should reach out to instructors immediately or their academic advisor. Students will receive an email at the end of each semester detailing financial aid’s requirements and his or her financial aid status.
