Consumer Information and Federal Compliance
This page provides a single access point to all reports and disclosures mandated by The Higher Education Act of 1965 (HEA), as amended by the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 (HEOA) which requires consistent disclosure of certain institutional characteristics and reporting requirements to prospective and current students, staff and the general public.
The content of this page is based on the "National Postsecondary Education Cooperative. (2009). Information required to be disclosed under the Higher Education Act of 1965: Suggestions for Dissemination (Updated) (NPEC 2010-831v2)" and is an aggregation of the necessary disclosures and reports.
It is designed to provide students with information from a variety of sources on campus to allow students, parents, counselors, and others to make informed decisions about enrollment at Seminole State College. While information provided in the required disclosures is helpful, it is not comprehensive and other factors may influence a decision to enroll. A paper copy of any information provided may be obtained upon request. Compliance Notices
Students are advised to be familiar with the policies and procedures of the college as stated in the Seminole State College catalog and the Seminole State College Student Handbook.
Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of this catalog. The College reserves the rights to change, modify, or alter without notice all fees, charges, tuition expenses, and costs of any kind. The College further reserves the right to add or delete, without notice, any course offering or information contained in this catalog. Such changes will be posted in the electronic version of the catalog here.
Although the curriculum may be revised in any instructional programs at Seminole State College, students who make satisfactory progress toward an associate degree program (completing degree requirements in not more than three years) will be held responsible only for degree requirements in effect at the time of their first enrollment, plus any changes made during progress toward the degree as long as such changes do not result in additional credit hour requirements above those required at the time of initial enrollment at Seminole State College and/or does not delay graduation.
The Seminole State College catalog is a description of the educational programs and activities available at Seminole State College. The College makes no claims that enrolling in a particular class or following a particular course curriculum will produce a specific achievement, employment, qualification for employment, admissions to upper-degree programs, or licensure for a particular profession or occupation. It is understood that the responsibility for complying with degree requirements rests with the student.

Seminole State College, in compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Executive Order 11246 as amended, Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972, Section 504 of the Social Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, religion, handicap, or status as a veteran in any of its policies, practices, or procedures. This includes but is not limited to admissions, employment, financial aid, and educational services. Seminole State College is in compliance with Section 22 of the Drug Free Schools and Communities Amendments of 1989, Public Law 101-542. Seminole State College is also in compliance with Student Right-to-Know, Campus Security Act of 1990, and Public Law 101-542.
Seminole State College Catalog is issued by Seminole State College as authorized by the President of the College; 200 copies have been prepared and distributed at a minimal cost for the printed edition and electronic copy is available on the SSC Website. Information in this catalog was prepared for the years of 2015-2016. Policies are subject to change.
This catalog is published for the purpose of providing information about Seminole State College and its programs. Announcements are subject to change without notice and may not be regarded in the nature of binding obligations to the College. Seminole State College reserves the right to change prices, policies, and practices as described in this catalog as circumstances, efficiency of operation, and fiscal contingencies may require.

Refund Policy and Requirements for Withdrawal and Return of Federal Financial Aid
Military Tuition
- All required regulations will be followed for students who are affiliated with the military and of the Department of Defense (DOD) in accordance with state and federal guidelines. Tuition rates may be found here.
SSC Procedure on the Return of Unearned Military Tuition Assistance Funds to the Government.
- Military Tuition Assistance (TA) is awarded to a student under the assumption that the student will attend school for the entire period for which the assistance is awarded. When a student withdraws, the student may no longer be eligible for the full amount of TA funds originally awarded. To comply with the new Department of Defense policy, Seminole State College will return any unearned TA funds on a prorate basis through at least the 60% portion of the period for which the funds were provided. TA funds are earned proportionally during an enrollment period, with unearned funds returned based upon when a student stops attending.
