Testing Center
Located in the Walkingstick Student Services Center, the Seminole State College (SSC) Testing Center provides testing services for SSC students, community members, and other educational institutions (distance proctoring). Students who are taking SSC placement tests online or in person do not need to schedule an appointment, all other exams require scheduling.
Examinees will be required to present a valid photo ID. The photo ID required varies depending on the exam being taken. If you do not present an acceptable photo ID, your exam will be postponed until you can acquire the required form of ID. Please review the exam information below for details.
Electronic devices and personal items are prohibited in the examination area. These items will be stored in an unlocked locker while you take your test. SSC is not responsible for loss or damage to any items that you bring to the testing center. Only testing candidates are allowed in the testing center. Children and guests are not allowed.

Tests cannot be started within 1 hour of closing. Please check the time commitments of each test before starting and allow yourself enough time to complete test. Tests must be completed by the posted closing time.
Placement Testing
Students must first meet with an academic advisor to receive their personalized Placement Testing Request form. Placement testing is available in-person or online. Placement tests are untimed; you should allow yourself a minimum of 30 minutes for each placement test. Once placement testing is completed, students must meet with an academic advisor to enroll into classes after completing placement testing.

RN Entrance Exam Information (HESI)
The HESI RN Entrance (LPN-ADN) Exam is for currently Licensed Practical Nurses seeking entrance into the Seminole State College LPN to RN program. The exam identifies strengths and weaknesses in LPN content areas.
Exam Details
- 75 questions in the following areas:

- 90 minute time limit
- Students must wait at least 30 days in between tests
- May only be taken twice in a 6 month period (1/1 to 6/30 and 7/1 to 12/31)

- ACT Student Identification Form with photo if you do not have a current official photo ID as described above. This document must be fully completed by a high school official or notary public; neither may be a relative.
CLEP
The College-Level Examination Program® (CLEP) helps you receive college credit for what you already know, for a fraction of the cost of a college course. A total of 30 semester hours may be earned through CLEP at Seminole State College (SSC). CLEP credit will not be posted to the transcript until after a student has earned at least 12 hours of college credit.
How the CLEP program works
The College Board’s College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) has been the most widely trusted credit by examination program for over 50 years, accepted by 2,900 colleges and universities and administered in more than 2,000 test centers. This rigorous program allows students from a wide range of ages and backgrounds to demonstrate their mastery of introductory college-level material and earn college credit. Students can earn credit for what they already know by getting qualifying scores on any of the 34 examinations.
CLEP for free with Modern States
What you need to know
BEFORE registering on the CollegeBoard website, students must make an appointment for the exam with the testing coordinator at least two weeks before the desired test date.
Appointments may be scheduled by phone (405-382-9576), email (l.earley@sscok.edu), or by visiting the Testing Center in room 161 of the Ben and Bonnie Walkingstick Student Services Building.
Students also need to register and *pay for the CLEP exam at https://clep.collegeboard.org/.
Free CLEP—request a CLEP voucher from Modern States
An additional $15 fee to SSC is made payable in the business office (room 145) located in the Ben and Bonnie
Walkingstick Student Services Building. This fee may be reimbursed if you completed the Modern States course.
Please contact Modern States for reimbursement.
Students must present a valid government issued photo ID, an invoice for the $15 SSC testing fee, and the printed
copy of CLEP Exam Registration Ticket prior to testing.
No electronic devices or bags of any kind are allowed in the CLEP room. All belongings are to be stored in the lockers located in the testing center.
