SSC Athletes Wrap Gifts for Rotary Dinner
Seminole State College student-athletes and coaches volunteered their time this week to wrap over 600 gifts for the upcoming Rotary Christmas Dinner. The presents will be distributed at the annual community dinner on Tuesday, December 25 at the Senior Citizen’s Heritage House at 210 W. College. Arrangements may also be made to have the gifts and meals delivered to homes by calling 405-382-3640 prior to Christmas Eve.
SSC’s Night at the Lights a Success
Seminole State College hosted its annual “SSC Night at the Lights” event Dec. 3 at Magnolia Park in Seminole. Local families enjoyed the community Snowman Wonderland Light Display, as well as live music, cookies and hot chocolate provided by the College. Dozens of SSC student athletes manned crafting stations inside the Reynolds Wellness Center, helping children create holiday crafts. SSC Women’s Soccer Team Takes Second Place at Regional Tournament
The Seminole State College Women’s Soccer team finished in second place at the NJCAA Region II Finals in Miami, Oklahoma last week. SSC Women’s Soccer Coach Dan Hill was recognized as Region II Coach of the Year for the team’s outstanding season play. SSC Softball Celebrates 20 Years
Seminole State College softball alumni, friends, family and supporters showed up to celebrate the SSC Softball Program’s 20th anniversary this past Saturday. The event featured an alumni game followed by a cook-out. During the anniversary program, the current softball players were able to meet and visit with softball alumni that helped shape the College’s program over the years.
