Seminole State College has unveiled a new logo as part of a multi-faceted campaign to modernize and improve institutional images. The Media Relations Office and Administrative Council – along with input from other SSC employees and students – have spent many months brainstorming and planning how this design would represent the College.
“The new logo is bold, yet simple. The shield-like shape reflects strength and security – attributes that showcase SSC as a safe and reliable institution. The shield shape also retains a nod to the previous logo form of the triangle, while reflecting the Trojan heritage of the college,” Kristin Dunn, SSC Director of Community Relations, said.
A preview of the logo was unveiled to the SSC Board of Regents at their June 18, 2020 meeting and subsequently shared with campus faculty and staff. The communications team has provided various logo files, typefaces and a style guide to aid campus employees with the implementation of the new logo in printed and digital materials.
The traditional Trojan Crest logo, along with a triangular symbol with the letters “SSC,” will continue to be part of the College’s public image.
“The new logo represents a new era for SSC. This symbol represents our renewed commitment to our students and our community in the midst of a very challenging time. We strive to be a beacon of education, of personal growth and security for those we serve,” SSC President Lana Reynolds said.
