“We are thrilled to host our second annual Military and Veteran Resource Fair,” Stacey Foster, SSC VA School Certifying Officer, said. “We are committed to serving our active military and veteran community. This event serves as a testament to our dedication to active service members, veterans, and their families, providing them with the tools and connections necessary for their well-being. It’s an honor to host such an impactful event on our campus.”
In addition to providing general resources, Foster emphasized the diverse range of services available.
“There will be resources for veteran-owned business owners, employment opportunities, job placement, health and disability claims at both the state and federal levels, education benefit claims, closed caption telephones for seniors, veteran agriculture programs, mental health counseling, and VA-approved medical device referrals—just to name a few.”
Prior to the event, an honor field of 5,000 American flags will be planted on campus. The honor field is sponsored by American Legion Post 204 of Seminole.
