In honor of Martin Luther King Day, Seminole State College will host a special MLK program on campus Wednesday, January 16.
The event will feature guest speaker Ashley Peden, Director of Corporate Communications for the Oklahoma City Thunder. The event will begin at 10:05 a.m. inside the Jeff Johnston Fine Arts Center on campus and is free and open to the public.
With over 10 years of experience in the public relations industry, Peden has expertise in strategic planning, media relations, crisis management and community relations.
She currently leads the day-to-day and long-term strategic communications efforts for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
During her career, Peden has led innovative and strategic PR campaigns, media tours, press conferences, public affairs and marketing communication efforts for CSE’s Public Relations corporate clients, including: AT&T, NCAA, Major League Soccer, Feld Entertainment, and The Atlanta Hawks.
Prior to joining the Thunder, Peden led and supported many consumer campaigns in-house for The PGA of America, CSE, St. John & Partners, Moroch Partners, Greenville Drive (MLB), and Jeff Dezen Public Relations.
Ashley received her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media Arts from Clark Atlanta University.
