Streater Makes Large Donation to Leadership Program at SSC

Seminole State College President Lana Reynolds (left) visits with Seminole businessman and real estate developer Brandon Streater (right) about the President’s Leadership Class program at the College. Streater, a former member of the PLC program, recently gave a gift of $10,000 to support the student leadership program.
Streater said, “Being in PLC opened my eyes to possibilities of what I could do with my life and helped me set career goals. I travelled the state and I met people who influenced my future. It feels great to be able to give back to the college that meant so much to me, and to help other students benefit from PLC.”

Wallace Attends Nigh Leadership Academy
Seminole State College freshman Hailey Wallace, of Wellston, recently attended the Nigh Institute Leadership Academy held in Oklahoma City.
Wallace joined college students from across the state for the three-day academy. Over the course of the event, Wallace and her peers toured the Oklahoma City Memorial, visited the Bob Funk Ranch and experienced the First Americans Museum.

Seminole State College has cancelled its annual Commencement Ceremony set to be held on May 6 due to the effects of Wednesday evening’s tornado in Seminole.
Emergency response coordinators advised the College to not host the event due to the potential for intermittent loss of power and general safety issues.
