SSC Help Center to Host Free Documentary Screening
The Seminole State College Help Center, in partnership with the Children’s Hospital Foundation, will sponsor two free screenings of the documentary “Resilience: the Biology of Stress and the Science of Hope” on Oct. 29 at 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. in the Enoch Kelly Haney Center lecture hall. Denmark Students Visit Jasmine Moran Children’s Museum

Denmark students Nichlas Bentzon, Simon Kristensen and Lasse Kristensen, who are participating in an educational exchange program with Seminole State College, visit the Jasmine Moran Children’s Museum in Seminole on Tuesday. The students toured the museum and stopped to play at the WaterWorks exhibit.

SSC President Named One of the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence’s New Trustees
The Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence, a statewide charitable organization that recognizes and encourages academic excellence in Oklahoma’s public schools, has announced the addition of 11 new members to its Board of Trustees, including Seminole State College President Lana Reynolds. SSC Student Attends National Student Government Summit
Seminole State College sophomore Tijah Johnson, of Shawnee, attended the American Student Government Association annual conference in Washington D.C. Oct. 10-13. Johnson serves as the President of the Student Government Association at SSC.
During the conference, she attended workshops on leadership, time management, bolstering campus involvement and many other topics. She also toured many landmarks of the nation’s capital.
SSC Baptist Collegiate Ministry Hosts Dodgeball Tournament
The Seminole State College Baptist Collegiate Ministry recently hosted a dodgeball tournament on campus. Multiple student teams and one faculty team competed in the Raymond Harber Fieldhouse. Prize money was awarded to the top three teams. The faculty team, which placed third, donated their winnings to the SSC Food Pantry. SSC and BancFirst Prague Student Bank Board Welcome Largest Group in Program’s History
Thirty-seven high school seniors from Prague, Paden, and online-charter schools comprise the 2019-2020 BancFirst Prague Student Bank Board, and are eligible to earn a tuition and fee-free college credit in Business Leadership from Seminole State College. SSC Art Club Visits Impressionist Exhibit
Art Club students from Seminole State College recently visited the Oklahoma City Museum of Art to get a first-hand glimpse of Impressionist artwork from the nineteenth century. The exhibit, Van Gogh, Monet, Degas, was on loan from the Mellon Collection of French art from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.
