Fall 2024 Orientation Schedule

Seminole State College will host its 2024 “SSC Unwrapped” New Student Orientation on Saturday, Aug. 17 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Enoch Kelly Haney Center. Below you’ll find the full schedule of events.

Register for Event

1:00 p.m.

  • Welcome and overview of the day with the Orientation Committee
  • Welcome from President Reynolds
  • Top Chef Competition – featuring guest judges: President Reynolds, VP Melanie Rinehart, VP Dr. Bill Knowles

1:45 p.m.

  • Break: snow cones, hot dogs, browsing fair

2:00 p.m.

  • Family members to Haney Lecture Hall for key information and tips. Led by Edie Cathey, Director of Enrollment Management
  • Students remain in the Ballroom
    • 2 – 2:30 p.m. – Session with Information Technology
    • 2:30 – 3 p.m. – Session with SSS/SSS STEM, EOC and NASNTI (Complete and submit SSS/SSS STEM app and FAFSA info for a gift card.)

3:00 – 3:30 p.m.

  • Everyone in Ballroom for First Week Success with Dean of Instruction Jessica Isaacs and Professor of Social Sciences Dr. Steve Bolin.

3:30 p.m.

  • Browsing fair, snow cones, hot dogs

4: 00 p.m.
