Seminole State College Professor of English Jessica Isaacs (left) and STEM Student Suport Services Adviser Kristen Bean presented at the Prague High School Career Fair March 27. Bean provided information to students about careers in Higher Education, as well as different programs at SSC. Isaacs spoke about being a college professor and the different programs and events within the Language Arts and Humanities Division at the College.

SSC Administration Hosts Welcome Back Pancake Breakfast
Seminole State College hosted a “Pancakes with the President” event Jan. 11 at the Kelly Haney Center’s Utterback Ballroom for faculty and staff. The event served as a kickoff to the spring semester, which begins Jan. 14. SSC President Lana Reynolds, Vice President for Fiscal Affairs Tony Crouch and Vice President for Student Affairs Dr. Bill Knowles each took to a griddle and served pancakes to campus employees. Seminole Chamber Honors SSC Personnel
Two Seminole State College employees were recognized for their hard work and dedication during the monthly Seminole Chamber of Commerce Forum on Oct. 11. Assistant Professor of Life Science Theran Hernandez was honored as “Faculty Member of the Month” and Financial Assistance Clerk Caitlin Brown was honored as “Classified Staff Member of the Month.” The Seminole Chamber of Commerce Education Committee, along with the Lions Club and Blue Ribbon Realty, recognize SSC employees several times during Forum each year. SSC Educational Foundation Employee Receives NextGen Under 30 Honor
Autumn Wiles, Seminole State College Educational Foundation Advancement Coordinator, has been named among the 2018 NextGen Under 30 honorees.
NextGen Under 30 selected 267 winners, across 15 categories, from more than 1,000 nominees. Wiles was selected as an honoree in the Adult and Higher Education category.
In addition to her role with SSC’s Educational Foundation, Wiles serves as the Seminole Lions Club President-Elect and chairs the organization’s fundraising committee.
