Seminole State College will host its annual Night at the Lights on Monday, Dec. 2, 2024, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Reynolds Wellness Center. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public. Guests can enjoy making holiday crafts with SSC students, exploring the “Snowman Wonderland” light display in Magnolia Park and savoring complimentary hot chocolate and cookies.
Seminole State College hosted its second annual Military and Veteran Resource Fair on Nov. 7 at the Enoch Kelly Haney Center on campus. The event drew nearly 80 veterans and active service members seeking essential support and resources.

Seminole State College will welcome high school students to campus for its annual High School Visit Day on Tuesday, November 12. This event, taking place from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., is designed to offer prospective students an in-depth look at college life through interactive sessions, a campus tour scavenger hunt and a complimentary lunch in the student union. Attendees will have the chance to win $500 and $250 tuition waivers as raffle prizes.

Seminole State College will host its annual Trick or Treat Trail event on Tuesday, Oct. 29, in Henderson Park on campus. From 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., students and employees will set up stations along the walking trail around the north pond and hand out candy. The event is free, open to the public and children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes. Trick or Treat Trail is coordinated by the college’s Campus Activities office and organized by Director of Residential Life and Student Activities Melinda Sims. Seminole State College hosted its third annual Tribal Fest on Oct. 9 at the Cook Commons on SSC’s campus. Hundreds of attendees browsed the tribal resource fair, which featured more than 30 vendors. Attendees also enjoyed art demonstrations, traditional dance performances and Native American cuisine. The event was sponsored by several federal grant programs on SSC’s campus, including the Native American Serving Non-Tribal Institutions, Talent Search, Upward Bound, Student Support Services and Student Support Services STEM.

Seminole State College hosted a College Transfer Fair on Oct. 2. Students were able to speak with representatives from East Central University, Northeastern State University, the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University, Oklahoma Baptist University, Southern Nazarene University, University of Central Oklahoma, University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, Grand Canyon University, Oklahoma City University and the U.S. Air Force.
