Enrollment is now open for summer and fall courses at Seminole State College. Prospective and returning students can explore class offerings and access application details by visiting the College’s website at sscok.edu.

SSC offers a wide variety of associate degrees including transfer degree programs in areas such as agriculture, biology, business, computer science, criminal justice, child development, elementary and secondary education, psychology and liberal studies. Students may also pursue enter-the-workforce degrees in business operations, engineering technology, medical laboratory technology, nursing and physical therapist assistant. Many of these programs are available 100 percent online, allowing for added flexibility for students balancing education with work and family life.

To better serve adult learners returning to higher education, SSC will host a Reach Higher RECONNECT event on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Walkingstick Student Services Center. The event is part of a statewide initiative aimed at helping adult students complete degrees. Attendees can meet one-on-one with advisers, get help with enrollment and explore academic and financial aid resources.

“We understand returning to college can be overwhelming especially for adult students,” said Laura Votaw, SSC’s Reach Higher Coordinator. “The Reach Higher RECONNECT event is designed to make that process approachable and fun.”

The free family-friendly event will feature inflatables, food trucks, photobooths and giveaways. All adult learners interested in returning to school are encouraged to attend.

For enrollment assistance, students may visit advisors in person inside the Walkingstick Student Services Center. Regular office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday.
