Seminole State College will host its annual Kids on Campus summer camps across two sessions, June 24-27 and July 8-11. Since the initial announcement of camps, the College has added a Fun Fitness Camp and extended the registration deadline. The deadline for the June 24 session is June 14, and the deadline for the July 8 session is June 28.

In addition to Fun Fitness, camps offered include Outdoor, Art, Lego, STEM and Clay. The cost for each camp is $50. Classes run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Outdoor Camp will have two sections. Outdoor I will take place from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and is designed for children ages five to nine. Outdoor II is designed for kids 10 and above from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. From bug and animal identification sessions to honeybee demonstrations and fire safety training, campers will connect with nature and learn new skills in a safe and supervised environment.

Art Camp will also feature two sections. Five- to nine-year-olds will participate in Art I from 10:30 to 12 p.m. Students 10 and above can sign up for Art II, which runs from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Participants in Art Camp will cultivate their talents across various mediums and styles, developing confidence in their creativity.

Fun Fitness Camp will take place from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and is open for campers aged five to nine. Participants will play a wide range of games including kickball, volleyball, pickleball and more.

Lego I, for ages 5 to 9, will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., and Lego II, for ages 10 and above, will take place from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Participants will tap into their engineering prowess as they tackle challenges and construct intricate designs using Lego bricks.

Scientific minds aged 10 and above are invited to dive into the world of robotics at the STEM Camp from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, campers will design and assemble their underwater Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) from scratch, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and confidence in STEM fields through experimentation and problem-solving.

Creatives aged 5 and above will get hands-on experience with clay and pottery at the Clay Camp. This camp takes place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. From sculpting whimsical creatures to crafting functional vessels, participants will express their creativity and develop a deeper appreciation for the art form.
